Vol. 139 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Golden (County Tipperary) Housing.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that no house has been erected by the local authority in the village of Golden, County Tipperary, for the past 100 years; and, if so, if he will state the reason for the delay in the erection of local authority houses there at present.

No house has been erected by the local authority in Golden village but a number of houses have been provided by the county council since 1932 in the immediate vicinity of the village. The county council recently invited tenders for a scheme of eight houses in the village. There has been no undue delay in the preparation and consideration of their proposals in relation to this scheme.
