I am not aware of any proposals for the reconstruction of the pier at Castletownbere. This structure is in the charge of the Cork County Council. The Daputy may, perhaps, have in mind the slipway which was constructed in 1949 and handed over to the county council for maintenance. Representations raceived from the council in regard to the slipway are at present under consideration.
