Vol. 141 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dairy Disposals Company, Limited, Overdraft.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (a) the amount of bank overdraft of the DairyDisposals Company, Limited, and associated companies for each of the years 1950, 1951 and 1952, (b) the amount of interest paid on such overdraft for each of the years mentioned, and (c) the amount of interest paid on money advanced by his Department for each of the years mentioned above.

Mr. Walsh

As regards (a) the amount fluctuates widely from time to time throughout the year. The relative figure of bank overdrafts (less cash in hands) as at 31st December in each of the three years, 1950, 1951 and 1952 is contained in the appropriate consolidated balance sheet of the Dairy Disposals Company, Limited, and associated companies which was presented to the Oireachtas.

As regards (b) and (c), it is not the practice to supply information regarding these companies other than what is contained in the consolidated balance sheet.
