Vol. 142 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Project Machinery.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state the number of units of land project machinery which have been disposed of to date; and, further, the names of the counties to which the machinery was dispersed.

Mr. Walsh

Presumably the Deputy refers to the 15 large composite units referred to in the advertisements as Group A in the sales advertised on 15th and 16th June and on 27th and 28th August last. Of these, sales of ten units have been completed. The purchasers have intimated their intention of employing the machinery on land reclamation in the counties in which it was working at the time of sale—namely, Carlow, Clare, Cork,Kilkenny, Roscommon, Tipperary and Wexford.
