Vol. 145 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wage Rates in County Kerry.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the Kerry County Council decided to increase the wages of its road workers by 15/-per week at the estimate meeting: and, if so, if he will state if it is proposed to grant a similar increase to workers employed by the Land Commission and his Department in County Kerry.

I am not aware that the Kerry County Council has proposed an increase in the wages of its road workers, as stated by the Deputy. When my Department is officially notified that such an increase has been effected a similar increase will be granted to labourers employed by my Department in the county.
