Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rural Electrification in Donegal.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state if the Cloghaneely to Dunfanaghy areas, West Donegal, have been selected by the E.S.B. for development under the rural electrification scheme; and, if so, when development is likely to take place.

I am informed by the E.S.B. that the Falcarragh rural area which includes Cloghaneely and the Dunfanaghy rural area has been listed for official canvass when the board's staff has completed canvasses of the other areas in their Sligo district which made prior applications for development under the rural electrification scheme. The board is unable to state when development of the areas is likely to take place but suggests that their prospects of selection will depend to a large extent upon the response shown by the householders at the time of canvassing.
