Vol. 146 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick City Housing Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether any proposed housing schemes for Limerick City are being held up pending decision by his Department; and, if so, when he expects to be in a position to issue decisions.

The chief proposal at present before my Department in relation to the provision of a housing scheme in Limerick City is a Compulsory Purchase Order for the Garryowen area.

A decision in the matter will be given shortly.

There is also a proposal for the acquisition by agreement of a plot of approximately one acre. Further information on this proposal has been requested from the local authority.
