Vol. 147 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Commission on Emigration Report.

Mr. Lemass

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will give an estimate of the cost of putting into effect the recommendation in paragraph 187 of the Report of the Commission on Emigration and Other Population Problems, dealing with old age pensions for farmers.

I have not been able to obtain all the statistics necessary for making an estimate of the cost of putting into effect the recommendation in paragraph 187 of the Report of the Commission on Emigration and other Population Problems.

I would ask the Deputy to repeat his question in a few weeks' time.
