Vol. 148 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Flooding.

asked the Minister for Finance whether a survey of the flooded area at Rossmanagher, Six-milebridge, was carried out, and, if so, when it was completed.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the flooding caused by breaches in embankments on the Owenagarney river. A survey was carried out there between June and August, 1953. A scheme for the repair and reconstruction of the embankments under Part IV of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, has been prepared, and was sanctioned by me on 3rd November, 1954.
