Vol. 149 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Harbour Boundaries.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state what are the inner and outer boundaries of Cork Harbour.

The present limits of Cork Harbour were settled by certain ancient charters and confirmed in subsequent legislation. The Minister for Industry and Commerce is empowered to make a Harbour Works Order to fix or vary the limits of a harbour, but such Order would not come into effect until confirmed by an Act of the Oireachtas. No proposals have been made to me for an Order to define or vary the limits of Cork Harbour.

Or to vary the limits of Deputy Corry's questions.
