Vol. 149 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Tannery.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that over 100 families in Limerick City are affected because the local tannery which was destroyed by fire has not yet been rebuilt, and, if so, if he will use his good offices with the owners of the tannery to ensure that a permanent structure is erected and the original employment position restored.

The question of rebuilding the tannery referred to is one for decision by the company concerned. I do not think it is a matter in which I could usefully intervene.
