Vol. 149 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Mails Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will institute a night collection of post boxes in Galway City for outgoing morning trains.

Correspondence may be posted in the receiver at Galway Head Post Office up to 8.15 a.m. for connection with the morning train despatches which are made to Dublin and Limerick. The additional cost of providing a general night collection from letter boxes in Galway City would not be warranted by the volume of traffic and I regret that it is not possible to meet the Deputy's wishes in the matter.
