Vol. 149 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cabra Sub-Post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that the accommodation at the sub-post office, Fassaugh Avenue, Cabra West, Dublin, is insufficient, particularly for the payment of children's allowances, and if so, what action he proposes to take in the matter.

The accommodation in the sub-post office at Fassaugh Avenue is adequate for the normal volume of business transacted there. Some congestion occurs on the morning of the first Tuesday of each month, when very large numbers of children's allowances orders are presented for payment during the first two hours or so after the opening of the office. This congestion is not caused by lack of accommodation and is probably unavoidable but I am having the position examined to see if any improvement can be made.
