Vol. 150 No. 6

Written Answers. - Sole Manufacture Licences.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) how many licences for sole manufacture have been issued to date under the Control of Manufactures Acts, and (b) the names of the licensees and manufacturers to whom the licences were given.

Two licences for sole manufacture have been issued to date under the Control of Manufactures Acts, 1932 and 1934. Both licences were granted to the Irish Dunlop Company, Limited. The first was granted on 20th December, 1935 for the manufacture of rubber soles and heels, and the second on 16th January, 1953, for the manufacture of rubber sheeting including rubber soling.
