Vol. 151 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo: Transport for School-children.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the children of the townlands of Aughness North, Nunmore and Gortbrack North are undergoing great hardship in attending Shraghnamouragh National School, and, if so, if suitable transport will be provided for the children of those townlands in the near future.

I am aware that there is a number of children in the townlands of Aughness North, Bunmore and Gortbrack North who have long distances to travel to school.

The question of the provision of transport service for the conveyance of children concerned to Shraghnamouragh National School is being investigated at present and I hope to be in a position to make a decision in the matter at an early date.
