Vol. 152 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Import Duty on Biscuits.

Mr. Lemass

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the higher cost of production of biscuits, consequent on the Government's action in withdrawing the subsidy on flour, it is intended to revise the present import duties on biscuits.

Representations have been received from the biscuit manufacturers regarding the matter referred to in the Deputy's question and are being examined.
