Vol. 153 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Loss of Fishing Boat's Nets.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that some time ago the nets of the Dingle fishing boat, "Ross Brin", which are valued at £200, were cut by a French trawler between Skellings and the Blasket Islands, and, if so, what action he has taken, or proposes to take, in the matter.

An incidents as described has been reported to my Department and the usual steps have been taken to contact the owner of the French vessel alleged to have caused the damage with a view to securing compensation for the aggrieved party.
