Vol. 153 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Enniscorthy Garda Station.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that the present Garda station in Enniscorthy is very unsuitable, especially for young Gardaí who have to find accommodation outside the town; and, if so, when it is proposed to build the required new station.

It is agreed that the station at Enniscorthy is unsuitable for the permanent accommodation of members of the Garda Síochána. Steps are being taken to carry out necessary repairs with a view to making the premises reasonably comfortable pending the erection of a new station. Some time must, however, elapse before a new station can be provided.
