I assume that the Deputy is referring to persons who are in receipt of allowances under the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations, 1954. Many of these persons were formerly recipients of home assistance and received free fuel. It is open to the public assistance authorities to continue to supply fuel to them as assistance-in-kind.
