The arrangements for the engagement and discharge of staff at Haulbowline are, of course, matters for the board of Irish Steel Holdings Limited.
I understand, however, that last month the company found it necessary to lay off temporarily approximately 30 employees for about a week, owing to an unavoidable interruption in production. All these employees have since been recalled to work.
