Vol. 156 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - County Kerry Turbary.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that the farmers of the Glen, Caherciveen, and Valentia Island are anxious to know why the Land Commission will not divide turbary taken over two years ago, and, if so, if the commission will expedite a decision in the matter.

The preparation of a scheme for the turbary acquired by the Land Commission in these areas is being withheld pending the outcome of proceedings which have been instituted for the acquisition of other turbary in the same localities. Proposals for the allotment of the entire area of turbary then available will be formulated on one composite scheme.
