Vol. 159 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inquiry into Plane Crash.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, with a view to conveniencing and cutting down the expenses of witnesses, he will arrange to have the official inquiry into the crash of the Convair aircraft at Shannon held in Limerick City.

A preliminary investigation of the accident to Convair Aircraft HB-IMD, under the Air Navigation (Investigation of Accidents) Regulations, 1928 and 1943, is proceeding at Shannon Airport since 15th July and present indications are that a formal investigation under the regulations will not be necessary.
