I am not aware that the system of rendering telephone accounts quarterly causes inconvenience to the general body of subscribers, and as the furnishing of accounts monthly would involve the Department in very heavy additional cost the adoption of such an arrangement is not contemplated. In the comparatively few cases in which subscribers ask for monthly statements of calls, these are supplied on payment of a fee sufficient to cover the cost of the additional work involved.
