Vol. 160 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fair Trading Rules.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of manufacturers to whom the Fair Trading Rules (Serial No. 10) apply, and who have filed with the Fair Trade and Commission a statement of their terms and conditions of sale as required by rule 8 of the rules in question.

The Deputy will appreciate that Fair Trading rules are made by the Fair Trade Commission and that I have no function in relation to the requirements laid down by such rules. I am, however, informed by the commission that three manufacturers have filed statements of their terms and conditions of sale as required by the rules referred to in the question.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the goods in respect of the supply and distribution of which fair trading rules have been made by the Fair Trade Commission.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate, with the Official Report, a statement giving the information required by the Deputy.
