Vol. 160 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letterkenny Post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the extremely urgent need for new post office premises in Letterkenny, he will state the cause of the delay in starting work on the project; and if he will give an assurance that work will commence immediately.

It became necessary to revise the contract drawings for the new premises in order to ensure greater flexibility for telephone growth. The revision is now nearly completed and I understand that it should be possible to invite tenders for the work about June next and to place a contract two or three months later.
