Is the Minister aware that the acting Minister for Agriculture informed us last year that the price of wheat would be announced this season in plenty of time for autumn sowing by farmers? Am I to understand now that "autumn" means Christmas around Cavan?
Is the Minister aware that many farmers are taking conacre at this time and desire to know where they stand? Is the Minister further aware that there is growing concern at the fact that the Government have made no announcement in regard to this? Are they waiting for the Dáil to go into recess before dropping the bombshell?
The Minister is aware of all these factors and the Minister will make this announcement as soon as he can.
