Vol. 167 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Tipperary School.

asked the Minister for Education why there is such delay in having the work of erection of the new school at Corville, Roscrea, County Tipperary, started, considering that the local contribution has been lodged with his Department for a long time.

I am advised by the Commissioners of Public Works that the local contribution towards the cost of the erection of the proposed new national school at Corville, Roscrea, County Tipperary, was lodged to their credit by the reverend manager on the 18th March, 1958, that they have accepted a tender for the work and that it is expected that building operations will be commenced at a very early date. I am satisfied that there has been no avoidable delay in the case.
