asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will ascertain and state in respect of the Dublin area the number of persons in receipt of social welfare assistance (other than insured persons) at a recent date.

The information sought by the Deputy will be found in the accompanying statement:—

(a) The numbers of recipients of Children's Allowances are not recorded seperately for Dublin County and County Borough.

(b) A small number of the persons in receipt of payment of Unemployment Assistance at the Exchanges in the County Borough reside in the County.

(c) A small number of persons in receipt of Unemployment Assistance at Balbriggan local office in County Dublin reside outside the County; and, conversely, a small number in receipt of payment at Bray and Blessington offices which are in County Wicklow, reside in County Dublin.
