asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state (a) the number of agricultural workers employed on each State farm as at 1st April, 1958, (b) the basic wage paid to such workers with effect from 28th May, 1956, and (c) the estimated rate of wages required at each subsequent publication of the consumer price index to restore the wages in each case to the value obtaining on 28th May, 1956.

The rate of wages at Grange was increased to £5 12s. 6d. and the rate of wages at Abbotstown, Backweston and the Veterinary Research Laboratory to £6 1s. with effect from 10th August, 1957.
