Vol. 170 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Social Welfare Agents' Holidays.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that national health insurance agents are allowed only six days' annual leave; and if he will take steps to have their leave increased.

The allowance of six days' annual leave granted to certain agents in my Department is the allowance to which non-domestic employees outside the Civil Service are entitled under the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1939.

It is not proposed to make any change in the leave allowances of these agents.
