Vol. 171 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dingle Deep Freezing Fish Plant.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position of the proposal by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara to erect a deep freezing fish plant at Dingle, County Kerry; and how soon work is likely to commence on (a) the construction of the building to house the proposed plant and (b) the installation of the plant and equipment therein.

I am informed that this matter is receiving the constant attention of An Bord Iascaigh Mhara in the light of the landings of fish at Dingle and elsewhere. The most opportune time for commencement of the construction of the building and the installation of the plant and equipment is a matter which must be left to the judgment of the board.
