Vol. 173 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tax Agreement with Federal German Republic.

22.

asked the Minister for Finance if the discussions relative to the reciprocal tax agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and this country have been finalised.

The negotiations with the Federal Republic of Germany for a reciprocal double taxation Convention with respect to taxes on income have reached an advanced stage but have not yet been finalised.

Can the Minister give any indication as to when the discussion will be finalised?

I should think during the summer.

No doubt the Minister is aware that several German firms are at present considering setting up here, subject to the reciprocal agreement?

Yes. We have all that in mind.
