Vol. 176 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Roscommon River.

4.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether in connection with his statement of the 10th June regarding the clearing off of works carried out under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, he will consider making funds available for the completion of the drainage of the Crannagh river, County Roscommon, in order that the flooding caused by its present partly drained condition may be overcome.

The reference in question related to a token provision to enable outstanding accounts arising from works undertaken in previous years to be cleared off. It does not provide for grants for further drainage schemes.
