Vol. 178 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure on Kerry Forestry Centres.

61.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the money allocations available for expenditure during the current financial year in respect of each forestry centre in Kerry.

Forestry funds are not allocated on a regional basis. The amount of expenditure at any forest for any particular period is determined by the volume of work requiring attention there.

Employment at the 7 Kerry forests is currently being provided for 161 men, compared with 129 men at the same time last year. This year's planting programme in Co. Kerry totals 886 acres, compared with 664 acres last year.
