Vol. 179 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Division in Meath.

62.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the total acreage of land divided in County Meath in the year ended 31st December, 1959, and the acreage allotted (1) to local applicants and (2) to migrants.

The relevant statistics are related to financial, rather than to calendar, years.

In the financial year ended 31st March, 1959, the total area distributed by the Land Commission in County Meath was 888 acres. Of this area 417 acres were allotted to 35 local applicants and 471 acres to 13 migrants, who surrendered an aggregate area of 502 acres for relief of congestion.
