It has been estimated from the June, 1959, Agricultural Enumeration that the area under wheat in that year was 282,200 acres and that the area under barley was 332,900 acres. Corresponding particulars for 1960 are not yet available.
Has no estimate been made in respect of 1960 as yet?
Not yet. The figures are in process of being prepared and it is expected that they will be available at the end of July.
Could the Parliamentary Secretary state has he any results at all to date?
None.
