Vol. 184 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Signposting of Mayo Roads.

66.

asked the Miniter for Local Government if he is aware that tourists and others have many complaints about the inadequate signposting of Mayo roads; and if he will take steps to have this situation remedied.

The signposting of roads is the responsibility of the road authority concerned. I am not aware of any specific complaints regarding the inadequacy of the signposting of Mayo roads. I have, however, recently urged all road authorities to give special attention to this work so that a consistently high standard of signposting may be reached throughout the country.
