Vol. 185 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lee Hydro-electric Scheme: Compensation Claims.

33.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power how many claims for compensation in connection with the Lee hydro-electric scheme are still not settled by the Electricity Supply Board; and when and how it is proposed to deal with them.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that out of a total of 213 claims received in connection with the Lee hydro-electric scheme, 22 remain unsettled. The Board state that negotiations in connection with the unsettled claims are still in progress and that it may be necessary to refer some of the claims to arbitration in the near future.
