Vol. 186 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Postal District Numbers.

53.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he will cause the new postal district numbers in Dublin to be inserted after all city entries in part one of future editions of the Telephone Directory so as to provide people with a ready means of finding out the district numbers of Dublin addresses.

The Dublin Postal District numbers will, where applicable, be included in Part I of the next issue of the Telephone Directory in respect of new and changed entries. It is not proposed to incorporate the postal district numbers in all the existing entries for Dublin city in Part I pending a complete reset of the Directory which in normal course will not be undertaken until after the 1963 issue.

A map showing the postal districts will, however, be incorporated in the next and further issues of the Directory.
