The Irish Nautical College is a private institution administered by a committee of management. It is recognised by my Department as a school providing technical education and, as such, it receives an annual maintenance grant under section 109 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930, subject to compliance each year with the statutory regulations made under that section.
There are no proposals before me for a change in the relationship between the Department of Education and the Irish Nautical College.
