asked the Minister for Local Government the number of Dáil Electors on the current register which came into force on the 15th April, 1961, for the portions of (a) Westmeath and (b) Meath, respectively, which are joined with County Kildare, and the total number of Dáil Electors for that constituency.

The number of Dáil electors on the Register of Electors for 1961-62 for the parts of Westmeath and Meath which it is proposed under the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 1961, to join to the Kildare county constituency is 4,132 and 3,702 respectively. The number of electors in the proposed Kildare county constituency is 44,108.
