Vol. 189 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unlevelled Spoil along River Maine.

8.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a considerable amount of spoil is being left unlevelled along the Maine River and its tributaries, and is causing great inconvenience to landowners; and if he will take steps to have it levelled.

Much of the spoil deposited along the River Maine and its larger tributaries will be shaped into embankments which will be maintained as an integral part of a drainage scheme. Other spoil will not be levelled but will be left in a low mound shape.
