Vol. 190 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Piped Water Supply in Mayo.

47.

asked the Minister for Local Government the estimated cost of a piped water supply for the County of Mayo, and the amount per £1 in the rates in consequence thereof; and whether the proposed scheme will cover the whole of the county.

The general water supply survey of County Mayo has not been completed by the county council nor has any proposal been submitted to me in regard to the provision of a piped water supply for the county as a whole. I am not in a position, therefore, to give the information requested by the Deputy.

I hope that is clear. More promises!
