Following consideration of a report by their Consulting Engineer on test borings of the two possible sites for the proposed bridge linking Valentia and the mainland, Kerry County Council applied on the 3rd instant for approval in principle to the erection of the bridge on the site east of the village of Portmagee. The application is being examined.
