Vol. 194 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killybegs (Donegal) Fisheries Research Station.

28.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will consider the erection of the new Fisheries Research Station at Killybegs, County Donegal at the estimated cost of £140,000 as provided by this year's estimate.

As it has already been decided and publicly announced that the fisheries research station will be erected at Galway, I will not consider erecting it elsewhere.

Are you going to erect it near the fish factories you put up and never used?

We are going to erect it in Galway.

In Galway, where you do not catch any fish?

Where did Deputy Flanagan build his fish factory?

He built one in Schull. Why follow it on now?

Schull was the greatest white elephant ever erected by any Government.

Now you are going to build another one.

The Tánaiste will get jealous if any more white elephants are let loose. He has three private ones.

Those were dangerous words by the Parliamentary Secretary. Look at him blushing.

That is impossible.
