Vol. 296 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Health Centre.

9.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the proposed new health centre at Coolock, Dublin.

The Eastern Health Board have obtained a suitable site from the Dublin Corporation for the provision of a new health centre at Coolock. The schedule of accommodation for the health centre is at present under discussion between my Department and the Eastern Health Board. When the schedule has been agreed it will then be possible to proceed with the planning of the project, with a view to its possible inclusion in the board's capital programme.

This health centre has been approved since last year but nothing has apparently been done.

The scheme was approved in principle. Certain things have to be agreed with the health board and in the meantime the board have been authorised to acquire the site at Cromcastle Road, which I presume is in Coolock.

Very much so.
