28.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have acquired the entire estate of Robert M. Morton, Doonflynn Lower, County Sligo, or part thereof; and, if so, what is the reason for the holdup in its distribution.

Proceedings for acquisition of 66 acres, being part of this estate, are in progress. An appeal on price by the owner is pending for hearing by the Appeal Tribunal. It is not possible at present to state what the outcome of the proceedings will be.

29.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have acquired, or have considered the propriety of acquiring, the estate of Teddy Harte, Whitehill, Riverstown, County Sligo; and, if so, when it is expected that it will be divided.

Negotiations have been taking place for the purchase of this 65 acre property but for the present the details of the matter must be treated as confidential. It is too early yet to say when allotment of the lands may be feasible.
