Is it right to assume that the proposed Limerick university is being treated in the same way as the Laois-Offlay bog roads?

I think that is a matter for the Limerick Deputies.

The questions seemed to bear a resemblance.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 105, 106 and 107 together.

The total amount of money granted by the State to the University Colleges for the purposes of buying land or sites and to meet costs arising from the erection and/or extension of buildings during the period 1952 to 1962 was as follows:—

University College, Dublin

£305,510

University College, Cork

University College, Galway

£108,060

Trinity College, Dublin

£108,000

The total of State grants paid to University College, Dublin, in respect of site acquisition, site development and buildings at Belfield up to 31st March, 1962, was £230,010. I am not in a position to say what additional outlay, if any, was made by the College authorities in respect of these matters during the period in question.
