Vol. 197 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Slaughter of Reactor Cattle.

47.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will give reasons why all the reactor cows being bought by his Department in County Limerick are being consigned to a meat factory at Waterford, in view of the fact that facilities for the slaughter of such animals are available at two factories in Limerick.

The cows are consigned to a firm, who, as a result of invitations for tenders, secured the current contract for the slaughter of reactor cows purchased by my Department in County Limerick.
