Vol. 197 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Revenue and Expenditure at Cork Airport.

57.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state in regard to Cork Airport the total operating expenditure to date, including expenditure on meteorological and ancillary services, and the total revenue received from landing fees and other ancillary services.

It is the practice to prepare statements of revenue and expenditure for the airports in respect of each financial year and these figures are published each year in the Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General on the Appropriation Accounts. The total operating expenditure at Cork Airport from 16th October, 1961, when operations commenced, up to 31st March, 1962, was £38,020 inclusive of expenditure on meterological and ancillary services. The total revenue from landing fees and other ancillary services in the period was £3,015.
